GLASS LAMINATINGWe laminate glass using the cold resin technique. This is where resin is poured between the glass, it sets and binds the glass together. The resistance to breakage is increased and if the glass is broken, it remains in a sheet. This is one of the advantages of laminated glass, by holding together then glass tends to remain glazed in framework. It also means that if a panel is broken the security of the building is not immediately compromised. Profile Glass uses a UV curing resin which increases turnaround time and availability of the specialized laminated glass. Using our years of glass slumping and laminating experience we can now offer laminated slumped glass. We can also supply the raw UV-cured resin, so that you can produce your laminated safety glass. Using cold resin laminating, figure rolled glass can be turned into safety glass. We are also continuously developing new laminated textures to create feature laminated panels.
