DECORATIVE LAMINATED GLASSLaminated Glass is where two sheets of glass has been stuck or laminated together. In standard laminated glass two plain sheets of glass are laminated using a polyvinylbutyl (PVB) plastic interlayer using temperature and pressure. This produces a panel of glass that looks like a normal glass pane but has the added security of being a safety glass. Profile Glass decorative laminates use a liquid poured between the sheets of glass which is then adhered to the glass using UV light. Due to the liquid nature of the resin, it can be used where the PVB sheet cannot. When there are thickness variations between the two panels of glass, for example figure rolled glass like broadline and flat glass. We can also laminate slumped glass. Using a special technique, slumped glass can be produced and then liquid laminated. This can produce a more cost effective glass and also allow us to introduce enamelled colours into a panel of slumped glass that is both beautiful, functional and safe. We can also laminate other substrates within the laminate. These include various fabrics, metals and veneers.
